During the final year of operation, IRIS programs in Sri Lanka and Nepal provided eye examinations to 156,108 poor people, gave glasses to 8,807 visually impaired people and provided blindness prevention surgery to 7,327 people.

IRIS is continuing to undertake significant blindness prevention work in Sri Lanka and Nepal and through our local partners in each country we aim to increase access to eye care services for poor people and to fully restore the sight of poor people we find who are unnecessarily blind.
